Final thoughts

The TRUTH? Swagbucks is a legit and reliable form of rewards program.

It is free to join, so there is really no risk. You can also be confident to use their program because it is owned by trusted companies.

I can say that it is an opportunity if you want to earn cash back rewards every time you spend money or even just browsing the web.

It is a good way to get extra money for your shopping by only doing things you regularly do online.

But, I DO NOT recommend it if you are looking for a real online business which can give you passive income in the long run.

If you are looking for the legit and the best way to make money online, I invite you to check on my #1 recommendation.

  1. Nice well thought out post. You have given me some food for thought. I love thought-provoking content like this. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your future content.

  2. Hello, I really appreciate your time and effort on writing about Swagbucks.

From your review it’s obvious that although they’re legit they’re not something that’s going to create any substantial income for you. Most people who do these sort of “beer money sites” are just looking for supplemental income, something they can do for fun on their phone while bored.

I’ve been paid a few times by Swagbucks so I know they’re legit, as long as you don’t expect to get rich doing this then you’ll probably enjoy them. So I agree that they’re legit and reliable…but only for a small income. Thanks for the review.

    1. Swagbucks is really a good source of extra money if you are looking for something that will help you a bit.  But if you are really looking for an income that you can depend on, it is really great to have your own online business.  There are programs that will help you build it.  It is actually the same platform that taught me how to make money online.

  3. This is great information ! I belong to a few companies that offer rewards for shopping but I don’t belong to this one yet! I love being rewarded for things I am going to do anyway ! Thanks for the helpful information, you never know when these are truly legitimate.

    1. Swagbucks is great for few rewards and gift cards, but if you are looking for a way to make money through online that will give you the best return and a passive income, I recommend you to take a look on the platform that will help you build your own online business.
      Thank you for your comment.

  4. Hi Hanna I really liked your post. It highlighted clearly how swagbucks works and it was all very clear and informative. I also liked how you detailed the history of the company and the pros and cons of their program. I  liked how it lead into your About you page which gave details of your affiliate marketing experience. I look forward to reading more of your material.

  5. Dear Hanna,

Thanks a lot for the detailed review post and I got helpful insights from your review.

For sure Swagbucks is a not a scam and I have used it. Although I used it before after reading your review I learned additional information which I am not aware of. They do have multiple ways to earn points and the best thing is we can try it for free and they are genuine.

To be honest I am not using it anymore because after spending nearly 3+ months I realized the income is very low (as you mentioned correctly). And I personally felt its not worth the time we invest in and instead we can focus on better options, for me the better option is Affiliate Marketing.

    Much Success!

    1. I am glad you are looking into the affiliate marketing route in order to build your own online business.  This is the best way to make money online.  I have also written an article that will give you more ideas on how to make money online.  If you are interested, READ IT HERE.

  6. Wow, your article is detailed and well explained, it’s noteworthy that though Swagbucks is one of the most popular programs that gives rewards  as gift cards or cash by performing certain tasks online, such tasks includes : Shop online on popular retailers, Answering surveys, Watching entertaining videos, Discover some offers, Search in their own search engine, Play video games, Upload their mobile apps.

Though from the analysis, it seems Legit, but the drawback seems to be that it is not a recommended online business, when looking for a long-term online business and a genuine way to generate passive income.

What would be your opinion with the analysis?

  7. In my experience with Swagbucks the surveys that are supposed to be fun are MIND NUMBING! Have you gone through the process of filling some of them out? How did you go about getting through them? Thanks for the honest review. We fully agree on it.

    1. You`re right, those surveys are pretty intense. It is good that they give you an idea of how long each survey is going to take, more or less. But even the 2-minute surveys are also “mind-numbing,” as you described.
      Thanks for your comment.
      All the best!

  8. Hi Hanna!
This is a great review, I actually didn’t even know SwagBucks was a thing. There are a lot of rewards programs out there, and I’m always a little cautious about getting wrapped up in them.

This post kinda set my mind at ease about at least one of them, I’ll have to look into the offers they have and see if it’s a fit for me, and even if it isn’t, I know plenty of people trying to save a few bucks any way they can, I’ll gladly refer them.

Thank you for taking the time to review this company, we need more people dispelling any scam sites, and letting consumers know who they can trust!

    1. You`re welcome, Bobby. I am glad that this review is helpful to you.
This is really my goal, to find programs fit for the public to join and use. Also, to let the people know if the program is just scamming so they can be given a heads up.
      All the best!

  9. This was very helpful information. There are a lot of companies that are NOT legitimate and sometimes it’s hard to decipher those from the real ones. I belong to a few of them and do also get rewarded for sharing my receipts with them proving the items I have purchased. I will definitely be looking into joining this site also. Thanks again for sharing good information.  Shelly

  10. Thank you for this informative post. I’ve certainly heard of Swagbucks, but it does seem a very time intensive way to make a small amount of cash. Even though you can exchange points for gift cards you’re restricted on the retailers you can use. The program you recommend is definitely one I’d vouch for, being a member of Wealthy Affiliate myself 🙂

    1. Hi Kathy, I am glad you found this article helpful.
Wealthy Affiliate sure is a good platform to start creating your own online business.
      All the best!

  11. I’ve heard many good things about Swagbucks a the time when I was researching ways of making money online. Unfortunately, I couldn’t join them as I don’t live in the US, Canada, Australia, UK or Ireland. I tried other similar websites like SurveySavvy, IqOption(legit but risky-what else can be said about binary options?) and other mobile apps that made you watch videos, install apps and refer friends. I eventually found WA which is a reliable way in the long run of making money online.

    1. Good for you Sebastian! I`m glad you keep going and find your way into the #1 platform that I use to create my own online business.
      All the best!

  12. Very Useful article. I am an SB member. but I totally agree with your view under The Bad section “Earnings are at a minimum and cannot be relied on as an income.” Overall I appreciate your real and
    Honest review on Swagbucks. Thanks.

  13. Sounds great! Very good and thoughtful post. You have given me reasons to see them as a legit business and I will definitely follow up on this. Thank you for the insightful info.

  14. I have heard of and tried swagbucks, trouble is it really for earning pennies and not pounds. I really can’t see anyone being quids in with the program. It does seem to be like a lot of work for little in return.

Do you know of something with much higher earning potential?

    1. I recommend my #1 and a trusted platform that helped me create a passive income. I invite you to try the program. It is free to join with 10-lessons to start with and build your own online business. Try it here>> #1 recommendation.

      Thank you for your comment.

  15. I’ve heard a lot about this company through friends but always wonder if i could make enough money to quit my part time job. It seems legit but definitely not enough money for someone like me. I need something simple thst can make a lot of money while I’m in school. I saw you recommended another program, I’ll look into that, thanks for sharing this.
